Weddings are a beautiful celebration of love, and as an East Sussex wedding photographer, I feel lucky to capture these special moments. Recently, I had the honour of photographing a wedding at Lewes Registry Office, followed by a charming reception at Manor Barn in Bexhill. Filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt emotions, the day was an unforgettable experience for everyone

involved.

A Memorable Ceremony at Lewes Registry Office

Home to Lewes Register Office, the beautiful Southover Grange is a magnificent 16th-century manor house set within the picturesque Southover Grange gardens. This Grade II* listed building is full of history, character, and charm, and provides an elegant, intimate setting for any ceremony.

Emma and Charlotte exchanged vows in a beautifully decorated Ainsworth room, surrounded by just close family members and friends. The atmosphere buzzed with love and anticipation as they promised to support and cherish each other for a lifetime. As they spoke their vows, the soft natural light streaming through the windows bathed the room in a warm glow, creating the perfect backdrop for capturing these precious moments.

A Charming Reception at Manor Barn

After the ceremony, along with their fifty guests, Emma and Charlotte made their way to Manor Barn in Bexhill for the reception. With its rustic charm and picturesque surroundings, this venue offered an ideal setting for their celebration. The barn was adorned with fairy lights and floral arrangements, which transformed it into a warm and inviting space. As the couple entered, the joy on their faces was unmistakable; it was a delight to capture their first moments as newlyweds.

The reception buzzed with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of dancing. Guests shared stories and memories, celebrating the couple's journey together. As an East Sussex wedding photographer, I make it a point to capture candid moments that embody the spirit of the day. From the couple’s first dance to the tearful laughter of family members, every shot told a compelling story of love and happiness.

An Energetic Celebration

The night culminated in a lively dance party where guests enthusiastically celebrated the couple's union. The energy in the room was infectious, and it filled my heart with joy to capture the dynamic atmosphere. As the couple shared their last dance, surrounded by friends and family, I witnessed a wonderful reminder of the love and support that enveloped them as they embarked on this new chapter together.

Final Thoughts on a Heartfelt Day

Photographing this wedding at Lewes Registry Office and Manor Barn in Bexhill was truly special. The combination of a heartfelt ceremony and an energetic reception created a perfect day bursting with love and joy. As an East Sussex wedding photographer, I am grateful for the chance to capture such meaningful moments and help couples preserve their memories for a lifetime.
